  • Pretty fantastic. Powerful, sweet, structured. Clearly defined by age on the nose, but still bursting with fruit and acidity. It is so balanced and firm, so elegant and weightless, long and broad specterered on the palate. I am so happy with myself for the patience that ha gone into keeping it in the cellar for more than a decade. It is now a really interesting champagne. Admittedly I have had a few regular vintage 96 in the mean time, all great - but this is the gem.
    This champagne is pure class.
    Perfect now.

  • Golden. Lot of apples! Nice acid and good mousse. Improved and become more complex in the glas over time. Lacking some minerals but may come with more time. In the window, but no hurry to drink remaining bottles.

  • Henriot Cuvee des Enchanteleurs 1996.
Holder fortsatt koken, men mer nedoverbakke enn oppoverbakke her.
    Fullmoden vin - drikk nå.
    Høy syre og rik frukt.
Lang finish med nedfallsepler i ettersmaken. 91p

  • I’ve been holding on to this last bottle for a while and the six nations grand slam seemed the right time to open it. And it didn’t disappoint Really deep and complex, lemon/lime, popcorn and pear drops on the nose, with hints of coffee. On the palate it fans out with a distinct taste of key lime pie, but with enough acidity to keep it fresh. Don’t see this getting any better - drink up

  • Grapes sourced around the Montagne de Reims.

Barely evolved dress. The effervescence will disappear as the tasting progresses.

Very pure and airy nose on orange, caramel and vanilla.

Creamy on the palate with a nice acid frame. The pastry and citrus aromas still dominate in the mouth, it remains very young, the tension is magnificent, a lot of energy. A touch of wood in the second half emerges, but in a very elegant way, all mixed with orange. Saline and chalky finish on a length that would have deserved more length to complete the picture.

    Excellent.
