Pretty copper colour with a tint of salmon. Very nice and quite sweet nose. There are notes of peach jam, apricots, red apple peals, and strawberry. I also get some yeastyness and cream cheese. Checking the fact sheet, I find that the wine was indeed aged on its lees. I get a touch of vegetal character but also more herbal notes: something like oregano and basil. On the palate, it has high acidity and actually a slight tannin which is very pleasant. It is medium bodied and I only wish that it had slightly lower alcohol. There are cherries, apricots, raspberry and more herbs. Cherry on the medium finish. 8+/18
