On the nose there is "freshly paved street" aroma with strawberry sweetness on the back end. On the palette it is muted berries with an acidic mid palette that overtakes the fruit. On the finish the wine is course and yet oh so melancholy.
What a wonderful experience, however, that the melancholy flavors are presented in this wine. Mostly everything that aged wine should be. That is, albeit with an unbalanced acidic dominance at the mid pallete. Still it doesn't bother me given the benefit of this wonderful aged juice.

Drinking very well right now….very alive sour skin acidity making the plum, cherry, raspberry, currant fruits youthful…..huge dusty cedar, integrated green notes of tobacco, and wintergreen…..some olive and coffee notes as well. Still quite tannic with nice spice and some aged nuances……drinks well now, but can go longer. Better than my last bottle 5yrs ago.

Smooth with dark berry, plum/cherry, currant fruit....med to light in body, with a nice green tinge of olive, dried herb, tobacco leaf, green peppercorns, little sour skin, and some coffee grounds. A little different than what you'd expect when drinking a Beringer Cab.....but tasty none-the-less. Aging well, with room to go longer.

Let me start by re-stating that I love old wine.

- Violet color - Typical of vintage. Notes of green pepper. Not a fruit bomb, drinks very european.
