The PX solera 1918 or PX Muy Viejo is the oldest solera at Ximénez-Spínola. It consists of 195 barrels laid down in 1918, from which less than 10.000 bottles are extracted each year. The average age of the bottled wine is around 15 years. Deep brown color. Intense aromas of sultanas, dates, figs, prunes, dried pears, molasses, spices, vanilla. Viscous, with high acidity, intense taste of figs, dried pears, honey, raisins. Very, very long.

Suave, delicado incluso, femenino de hecho, perfecto como vino de postre, unas gotas hechas en el cielo. Perfectamente equilibrado entre ácido y dulzura. Recomendado fuera de tu helado de vainilla.

Experimenting what Mr. Hayler Feel (Ritz) and Felt (Hedone); 5/26/2023-5/28/2023 (Alicante - España): Softie, delicate even, feminine side indeed, perfect as dessert wine, a drops made in heaven. Perfectly balanced between acid and sweetness. Recommended far away of your vanilla ice cream.
