  • Even better than the last bottle with a spellbinding and very clear red/ruby colour. Aromas of roses and boysenberries with ripe tannin, medium body and fresh acid. Certainly the best bourgogne rouge I've ever had, a superb performance considering the vintage an certainly considering the appelation. Without a doubt premier cru level. And although the price is pretty damned high for a bourgogne rouge, it is unquestionably worth it.

Not a whole lot of development since my first bottle two years ago and I'm sure this will hold at least one decade with no problem. But it is drinking very well already so I see no reason to wait.

  • I do not agree with drwine. The wine was intensely red and bright although it had no lack of concentration and grip. More like a 05 than your average 06. It was served blind, and nobody guessed that it was a mere bourgogne rouge. In my opinion, second only to Cathiard's BR.

  • Beautiful nose. Great sour fruit and awesome Burgundy/Piedmont resalivation mouth sensation.

  • Deep purple. Licorice aromas, simply black fruit. Brawny, extracted, and tannic for a Bourgogne, but not much charm and not in the more elegant style of the vintage.
