  • A year since we had this ( Papies 92) and indeed that sort of range of wine again. Bright , old vines of course, mineral and with a saline edge. Very pretty and a true assyrtiko . Not the best expression of assyrtiko from this great producer but a super solid wine nonetheless. Very pretty 91-92

  • Scorpacciata defined this wine pretty well. The beautiful aftertaste strikes me at most. It is complex, certainly, but I miss the overwhelming effect good assyrtikos may have. Maybe it is still too young. I know assyrtikos can mature for decades, but am not sure if that apllies to this one. 90 points with the benefit of the doubt and the possibility I err completely.

  • Citrus, linear, mineral, bright acidity. Some salinity but less than we were expecting. A little wax and a little floral perfume. Paired beautifully with Japanese food. Elegant. Feels like it deserves a quiet space to mull over the subtle complexity.
