  • Cork and wine both in surprisingly good condition for the age. A bit cloudy and colour more like caramel Tawny than golden botrytis wine, so expectations were low but the nose was pure classic botrytis of orange marmalade, apricotand toffee.
    Really interesting was that the botrytis character was constant but the Riesling varietal would come and go. I'd forget it was a Riesling rather than a Semillon and a good swirl would open upa ripe preserved lime note and a reminder that this was in fact Riesling.
