  • 7.5% abv. AP 03. Harvested at 87° Oechsle on old vines trained on single pole in this prime Lieu-Dit at the heart of the Steffensberg. 61.5g of RS, 8.5g of Acidity.
NOSE: purely of nutrient, brittle, white mineral. Later, and more distantly: limoncello; ocean water; peppermint; apple blossom. MOUTH: gatorade-like shock of sour-sweet quenching action initiates a mannered exhibition of precious cake frosting and spring laurel. Miniature ziggurat structures of broken mineral rise into wandering trails of red apple, pea tendril (a mark of reduction and yeast), and cassis-strawberry hybrids. Quite lofted and breezy. Wow. I hope to see this again when it arrives at its destination, which I estimate will come some time after 2032.
