Similar experience to the taster below me that had it in Oct. Very brown and just all spice on the nose (tested over several hours). On the body the fruit is gone and it is a continuation of the all spice with limited other tertiary aromas.

Nebbiolo and White Truffles (Matt's, Portland OR): The nose is open and savory with tones of smoke, licorice, dark red cherries, raspberries, leather, black tea, violets, crushed rocks, and spice notes. This shows off good depth, but it has a bit of a foursquare nature to the nose. The Full bodied feel is balanced with tart, high acidity and silky, high tannins. The structure has mostly peeled back and this feels like it's right in its zone. There are definitely plenty of years ahead for it, but this feels like it's as good as it'll get.

(Ceretto Barolo Bricco Roche) Tasted several times. On the first occasion, the wine came out of the bottle like a crazed Pamplona bull, and while it was beefy and healthy, it made me wonder where it was going. Several years later, the ’99 had mellowed a bit; it was better balanced, not all horns and snort. On the palate, it showed layers of dried fruits and bacon, with an exotic spice component—a little more pronounced in ripeness than the 2001, a little less than the 2000. In other words, close to classic Barolo, but with a unique stylistic signature. Terroir: Bricco Rocche

This is past its prime, but good outlines of the profile remain. No score for this tasting, but drink 'em if you got 'em
