(Chateau de St. Cosme Valbelle Gigondas) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-very gamey; black pepper; some burnt wood; very obvious plum dominates; some smokiness and minerality as well; PALATE-this is good wine; this is VERY smooth and just delicious; black tea; plum; bacon; earthy terroir; has enormous polish; this is classy and classic; VERY smooth on the back-end; very approachable right now, but will also age very well (Lebron James-like); I'm shocked by the overwhelming complexity this wine brings; gives a lot upfront, but has tons of complexities coming; this is a SPECTACULAR wine and has the ability to attain superstar status (97/99) w/ some cellar time; RP-92/95; GV-94
