  • Young and a bit spritzy still, but with air this gets better and better. Orchard fruits, minerality, great balance.

  • Insanely good kabinett. Powerful and expressive nose, peach, strawberry, lemon, honeysuckle, white flowers. Mineral finish with good acidity. This was wine of the night or close to it in a lineup full of wines 3-4x the price point.

  • My first bottle of 2022 from rising star and all around good guy, Max Kilburg. This was beautifully delicate while remaining tangy and very engaging. Light footed, elegant, and wonderfully balanced. Not the tension of the 2021s, but nice verve.
The nose showed initial notes of flint that led into the most alluring candied tangerine aromas. The palate was pure with juicy apples and pears that were complicated by piquant and spicy flavors of ginger.
These 2022s are so easy to drink. I love the balance and restraint that I find so far in the wines and I look forward to drinking more.
