Pale lemon-yellow, nearly clear like water; medium intensity aromatics, lime, minerals; palate is off-dry, high acidity, slate or stony throughout, lime and tangy underneath, texturally creamy even with the acidity present; complex and long finish. This is one of the more interesting cuvees out of the 2022 vintage for Falkenstein. 91-92

2/12. 8.5% abv. AP 17. Sun broiled phenolics surround hissing green calcium. Immediately following Herrenberg Kabinett feinherb, this tastes no sweeter nor drier. It's a simple matter of amusement to peel away layers of flavor here—rose, ginger, lime, cassis, apple, grapefruit bitters. Striking a blow to my expectationary baggage is the sure, concrete grip that organizes the event while insisting on perpetual, salty, slurping drinkability. 91+

First ‘22, first Schorsch. Light nose of mint, lime. Nice palate with med body, more lime, lemon, but good depth. Interesting that the strength of this is the finish. Tart, a little crunchy, almost creamy, long and really well balanced. Nothing like the acid of ‘19 or ‘21 but still lovely and food friendly. So mouth filling … upgrading my score. 91

Another wonderful Falkenstein. Reservednose with a bit of white orchard fruit, salt, blueberries, and mint. The wine has an almost creamy feel in the mouth with incredibly light touch acidic balance. Spices and herbs on the finish. Exceptional Kabinett.

Lime, honeydew, flint, very smooth. Pale lemon color, low alcohol, smell of intact lemon peel, tennis ball, artificial turf. Taste lemon, flint, 93+ with age.
