  • Dark ruby almost balck cherry going to dark burgundy on the edge. Found some sweet caraway on the nose, along with blackberry. Very fruit forward, with a touch of clove, not a lot of spice. The tannins were way in the background. We had two bottles open for over 3 hours and the tannins made a very soft appearance. We served this with a strip steak topped with horseraddish creme freche, boiled baby reds and roasted beets sauted in caraway butter. All I can say is that the wine held it's own and it worked. At 9.99 the QPR is a good one.
