The Estate Red Wine is a blend of 43% Cabernet Franc, 43% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is magenta in color. Graphite and leather on the nose. Spice, cassis, dark fruits, white pepper and vanilla grace the palate. Super silky fine grained tannins and a long generous finish. The reds from Woodward Canyon age as gracefully as anything produced in Washington. This wine should continue to develop for another 5-7 years.

Dark red, minimal fade. Big nose of black cherries, baking spices, tobacco and cassis. Full bodied with a rich mouthfeel. Super long finish. Like a Grand Cru St. Emillion on steroids. There is a real sophistication to this wine, very complex. At or near peak, but likely to stay there several more years.

A very suave and polished wine. Smooth mouth feel coupled with complexity and depth of fruit. Cab franc component keeps it light and tangy. Nose was reticent at first but opened up after about 30 minutes. Comes across as very right bank. I would recommend decanting (I did not) which would probably enhance the nose and deal with the considerable sediment this wine threw. Drinking well now and should easily stay on this plateau for 5 or more years.
