A stand-out vintage of what is easily my favorite WA state sub-$40 Rhone blend. This is punching hard above its weight this year--lots of stewed, smokey fruit, bbq savoriness, bacon fat, and crushed black pepper. Drinks like an above-average, if young, CdP or Gigondas. I'll probably save a bottle for a future year, but this is Drinkable-with-a-capital-D now. Below $20 (as I see it occasionally) this is an obscenely good wine.
