  • Much more plush than the 2020. A new world F&F compared to that vintage. Dark fruit, vanilla, gravel, some green herb. I think the merlot, cab franc really dominate the palate here while the cab sauv gives it the back bone. Tannins are moderate and linger. It drinks well now, we opened the bottle and let it sit for 45 minutes. But could do for another year in the cellar.

  • Drinking well, even young. Tasted at the winery during the Lost Mountain release. Nose is distinctly F&F, black cherry, blackberry, graphite and dusty gravel. Punch of fruit up front. Medium+ body and finish. This is a great introduction to RdV, it just lacks the balance and finesse of Lost Mountain.
