Tasted blind. Metallic elements along with sour cherry fruit, earth, minty spice and fine floral accents. A well-balanced palate built along linear acidity. Fresh and youthful and for the vintage a great and accessible Burg.

Deep, saturated dark ruby in color. The aromas take forever to come around - licorice, earthy mushrooms, stems, spices, black plums and oak. The palate is muscular and brutish, shows dark fruits, medium (+) acidity with a lot of unresolved oak lurking on the palate in the finish. Dissapointing.

Entering nice drinking window. Tannins still present, but integrated. Medium length, good red fruit framed by very slight wood. Likely better in 5+ years.

Fruit and acidity not balanced. Not sure if this will come around.

Mainly red fruit, tannic, some tertiary notes, in a good spot right now.
