  Large amount of sediment present. Very tart, a bit of spice at the end of the palette. Very dry. Wine did not age any better with 3 extra years in the bottle.

  The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like alcohol/hot. It tastes like raisin and oak. The body is light/medium. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

  Yeah, fairly grapey and one-dimensional, albeit best I recall bolstered by decent acidity and with an appealingly soft smooth midweight mouthfeel. I thought it *was* like the few other Petite Sirahs in my past and that this grape is not interesting to me as a straight-up varietal wine. Maybe it was more interesting a few years ago, and/or in years ahead - I've heard that about PS (but lack the experience to evaluate), either young or with considerable (15-20+ years) age. but in between lies an extended awkward adolescence.
