  • Decanted and chilled for 2 hours.

    Translucent crimson, surprislingly bright.

Once the temperature rose a bit, the nose was all raspberries and sour cherries. A while later more spicy, cedar-like notes, came as well.

Considering the light colour, the taste is really big. You find the same red berry notes together with a medium-high acidity, making for a crunchy experience. Spices takes over together with a bit fiery alcohol warmt but not in any unpleasant way, it blends perfectly well. For the ending we take a stroll down the dusty gravel road which says something about both the minerality and the grippy tannins.

A nice combination of easy drinking glou glou and serious structure, all depending on temperature and air. It feels like it can hold up for several more years considering the high acidity, the alcohol warmth and the prominent tannins.

  • Previous review was on the money. Finish is a bit harsh. With more cellar time this might soften. I plan to buy a few more bottles - this is a very good QPR.

  • Light bodied, medium acidity and a grippy tannin structure. Red cherries, raspberries and some floral notes of roses. Also minerals and wild herbs.
