  A reasonably aged, napa cabernet. At this point the wine is dark red, the bouquet is minimal. There is good fruit against a background of oak and tanin. The oak is subdued; it does not dominate as has happened in some California wines I have tried. The wine is pleasant, easy to drink alone or with food. It is not exceptional, in that there are many other wines that would provide a similar experience. I do not think I will go out of my way to buy more, but I will enjoy the several bottles that I did buy.
