Very rare then to have 2001 screw cap bottle. Colour: still quite yellow and not to deep. Could be because screw cap. Nose: very nice honeyed bees wax citrusy Palate: dry, lemon, stone fruit nice delicious. I wish I have more bottles.

Merlot Tasting (Sydney, Australia): Honey, pear, butter and plenty of orange and lemon aromas. There was a hit of sulphur at first as well but this dissipated quickly. The palate has good richness and cleansing acidity sweeps through. In very good condition and youthful enough that it will last a few more years at least.

Golden yellow in colour. Fully mature and at its peak. Citrus, talk/bath salts, hay and honey on the nose. Almost creamy texture in the mouth with flavours of lemon, toast, honey and a certain grassiness. Was crying out for some good fish and chips rather than cheese. Oh well! Interestingly, I really liked this but others didn't.

Green gold. Clear. Herbaceous and citrus bouquet. Palate of lemon, nectarine and grass. Nice strong backbone of acidity. Soem toasty development. Likely to develop for at least another 2-3 years.

Remarkable. Lovely mature Semillon - oak, flint and lemon and a slightly oily texture, but very fresh, quite pure, exceptional at £8 a bottle.
