Perfect storage at the Wine Society and nice clean perfect cork. Some maturity / tertiary notes on the nose. Something Burgundy-esque about it too or maybe that’s just because I am far more likely to drink mature Burgundy than CdP. Didn’t really stand up to a spicy beef stew, far too light but at least the lack of tannin and oak didn’t clash with the spice. After the main this is delightful. Light with red fruits and some forest floor. Blind I would have guessed Burgundy. This is lovely. Complex, dainty, nice acidity, great combination of fruit and maturity.

Pale red colour, touch of orange, faded rim. Aromatic nose, orange peel, thyme, cinnamon, touch of strawberry. Warm spices, still some tannin, nutty round texture. Needed decanting to open it up. Mellow, round and smooth. Just a little heat on the finish. This is delightful. Probably fading a bit but certainly not over the hill.

Bright ruby red colour; pleasantly pale. The nose equally refreshingly a mix of cherry and olive; suggesting the wine has met a balanced middle age. Tannins resolved with gentle acidity. All in all, a pretty satisfying drop. Drink over the next 4 years.

Pale. Pretty strawberry nose. Some minimal VA. Soft, but satisfyingly plentiful tannins.

Brick red, lighter at rim, blackcurrant aromas, good weight of fruit on palate, alcohol noticeable on 2nd day, long finish. Went well with pheasant
