Last bottle. I didn't think it will last that long, but it seems like it's still at peak (or not too far from peak). Fully mature, generous fruit, quite soft and approachable. Drink up. 20-25 min decant recommended (for well-kept bottles; this one was professionally stored at the cellars of the Wine Society for 7 years).

Fresh and primary. Black Forest Gateau nose. Powerful entry with a hit of heat from the alcohol. First entry is primary and sweet. Spice, dried figs, licorice chew. This is rich, quite sweet, a bit fruit cakey. Very easy to like although it needs to be temp controlled.

Classic Chateauneuf-du-Pape, agreeing with the other notes, but although this is so much better than when drank even a year ago could do with a couple more years to be at its best. Still tight, sweet and sharp when these mellow and blend will be smooth rich and full of fruit.

Clove, cinnamon, licorice. Black pepper. Long finish.
