A delightful experience. Not the most complex Cote-Rôtie I have had. Had I tried this blind, I think my first guess would have been Savigny-les-Beaune. Nevertheless, SMS's wine somewhat darker. Tight on the nose, but over the hours giving more of its rather fruity nose. On the palate hints of classic Northern-Rhône with minerals, wet rock, some cedar, cherry stones etc. Also, still some nicely balanced tannins left, which was good for the slow-roasted leg of lamb with goats cheese.
