no baryard/funk here. Slightly musty cherry nose with hints of floral. Classic Tempranillo tase profile with dark cherry, cherry, touch of anise on the finnish. Drinking nicely

BIG BOLD barnyard nose with overtones of earthy, spicy v-8 ... floral tinge ... light fruit (cherry) on the attack leading to a bigger and somewhat tannic mid-palate ... overall balance is good but finish is not impressive ... taste isn't so bad, but big, BIG FUNK on the nose was a bit off-putting

13,5% alcohol. deep dark garnet color. popped and poured; intense milky dairy farm smell, with som e cocoa and plum. (84 pts). the next day after some decanting it was noticeably less milky. aromas of cocoa, dark plum, cherries, vanilla, and oak. medium to full bodied. nice balance of ripe fruit, low acid, and sweet soft well intergrated tannins that left a dry finish (88+pts.).

Some nice cherry and licorice flavors, but also a facefull of funk. The funk mostly blows off after a couple of hours, leaving behind a decent though unspectacular rioja.
