  absolutely didnt like this for the price ($40). it tasted weird pruney shot over the hill. still drinkable but kind of bleh.

  I do wonder about the complexity of this. Right now so primary it's hard to tell. I would guess it will unwind in a positive way. But hard to tell.

  Bought at the domaine. Decanted for two hours prior to tasting. Nose of blackberry, licorce and cassis. Palate of dark berries, leather and cassisthat comes at you in waves...and waves. Long finish. This is really good stuff.
  
  The wine has really evolved from the alcohol bomb tasted on release. It is now smooth and enjoyable. But it is more sophisticated than many 2000 CdP's...not at all the rustic Rasteau you might expect.
  
  Andre Romero makes excellent wines.
