Drank over 5 hrs in the decanter. Holding up fantastically well for its RRP and 11yr age, dull violet with a ruby hue. Less stereotypical Australian cabernet characteristics are obvious, such as mint and cigar, but they are secondary to faded big full Barossan aged black fruits. Quite drying and savoury, a little chewy perhaps which masks/extends the finish to medium. Don't over think this one, drink now. I have enjoyed this, but think I prefer this label young or 'fresh'

In sampling over 2 nights this was not at all what I expected from an Aussie Cabernet, fruit flavors were locked tight and couldn't seem to escape even after 30 hours! Came back to it on night 4 and the butterfly had finally hatched...sweet black fruit flavors suddenly present and a fuller more interesting personality had emerged. However, all said, I typically wouldn't want to wait four days to begin enjoying a bottle purchased more for spontaneous consumption than years of aging in the cellar.

Drank with co-workers, pop-n-pour. At first very harsh and infantile. With about 30 min of air, this started to sing. What started as harsh black and blue fruit, with scorching alcohol turned into a lovely blueberry pie flavored wine that drank extremely well! I could have sworn this was a Cab Franc, as the Franc blueberry flavors were at the forefront. I was initially disappointed with this bottle, but given the wines evolution over an hour, wow...definitely a wine to keep an eye on as a 5-year cellar candidate. Wish I had more...

Rich, but less ripe for an aussie. Very nice juice.

Excellent aged Cabernet. Can't see it getting any better than now, but should hold for a few years.
