Past prime with an almost tainted quality. Texturally fine but freshness has been replaced funk and vinegar. Some black fruit comes through but no question on the decline.

Open three hours now. This is a substantive wine which should be given several more years to shed its tannins. Still deep purple. Cassis nose. Cassis jam midpalate. Parching tannins in the back. Oak is apparent, not in a bad way. The midpalate is elegant and Bordeaux-like. Nice wine. I'll wait 4 years for my next and last bottle. Or should I wait six? I'm posting a picture of my bottle-whitish label.

Deep red ruby color. Lush, silky feel. Dark red fruits, some vanilla and a long finish. Tannins not noticeable with steak dinner but rather prominent afterwards. Probably great after a few more years in the cellar.

Decanted 1-1/2 hour. Red garnet and purple hue. Rasberry, chocolate, long sour cherry finish. Could have spent more time in the cellar.

Needs more time to integrate. Popped and poured. Drank over two hours. The last sip was the best, oak, dark fruit, with enough acidity to age well.
