  • Not often I get to use the word lurid in a note, but this wine is a lurid shade of purple. It’s almost fluorescent. Yes it’s too soon to be drinking this, but I was listening to a podcast where they were discussing Dry Creek Valley, and I had to have a Teldeschi. Took two hours to come together, but then the fruit deepened, aromatics opened up, and it became that visceral expression of Zinfandel that only comes from Dry Creek. 100% satisfaction.

  • PnP. Amazing aroma as soon as it was opened. I expected it to be tight, and it wasn't at all. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and plum, and a hint of herbal. similar flavors with black cherry, blackberry, plum and black pepper. medium tannins show up in a long balanced finish. really good now, but should age well.

  • Liked this more than the Pato; it's got a similarly ripe fruited profile, but there's another gear of complexity here with some higher-toned floral and herbal notes adding aromatic complexity, and more savoury and earthy notes dominating the finish. Again, very easy to drink and a perfect winter wine.

  • Bedrock recent releases; 10/7/2023-12/2/2023: dark ruby with medium-plus body. rich nose of fresh blue and black fruit with some rose and violet whiffs and just hints of bubblegum lipstick. in the mouth it is fresh and juicy and unfolds in concentrated layers of fruit that at the moment allow the accents to only show subtly. tannins are firm yet polished, and the persitence is both remarkable and nuanced.

i expect this one to shut down for a couple to handful of years… but it clearly shows where it's going.

14.5% AbV; field blend from the Teldeschi Vineyard (east side of Dry Creek Valley), this year comprising of 73% Zinfandel, 18% Petite Sirah, and 9% Carignan, along with bits of Cinsault, Valdigue, and Vaccarese.
