Don't bother. Sure Puligny-Montrachet on the label drew my attention, but if tasted blind, this Chardonnay would be forgettable. Not all Puligny-Montrachets are equal. Some wineries, like Paul Pernot, charge premium prices for average quality wine simply by leveraging the Premier Cru reputation of the famous commune.

Quick take - Well balanced with lemon, citrus and apricot notes, mineral midpalate and herbal touches. Agree with other TN regarding hints of kiwi. Comforting viscosity and a remarkably long finish for this kind of bottling with very subtle toast notes. This wine is exactly what you'd expect for an entry level cuvee by a top-quality producer. Case buy, should improve for 3+ years.

This straw-colored Chardonnay offers a moderately intense aromatic array of tangerines, white peaches, honeysuckle and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied, fresh and with imperceptible alcohol (listed as 13%), it delivers flavors in line with the aromas and has no detectable wood. Sadly, the mid-palate hollows out and the watery finish is quite terse. This is a disappointing effort from an otherwise quality producer. Popped and poured, it requires minimal aeration in order to fully show itself. Enclosed with a Diam 5 cork. Drink now-2026.
Very nice note below, with which I fully concur. It’s slightly reduced, with some exotic fruits like kiwi, starfuit, a little sliced pear. Very nice for the level with reasonable concentration and no discernible oak. Good buy, and rather quaffable.
