  The nose is dark red fruited and savory with balanced tones of black cherries, raspberries, savory herbs, licorice, vanilla oak, toasty notes, and some violets. There is good depth with this showing off what I love about the grape while still clearly being from the new world. The Full bodied feel is rich, yet balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and chewy, medium+ tannins. The structure is still clearly youthful and this could well improve with a few years of aging.
