High shoulder fill and pretty dark color. Not at all oxidized or tired, in fact this is growing somewhat with air. Mostly dried currants and cedar sauna, with ample fruit sweetness and good acidity. The only complaint here is that it's just not all that interesting. A museum specimen of sorts I suppose.

Vinetasters: Robert Mondavi Reserve (1970-1998) (Skokie, IL): Served blind in a Mondavi lineup. High notes of menthol on the nose. The nose and palate here seem a little thin and empty. High-toned, with lots of acidity. Seems to be a little bit of a laggard in comparison to the other wines. I think this one is slightly corked. My 11th, group's 10th.

VA was just low enough so I could finish small taste. Storage conditions are unknown so recommend trying right away if you cellared any. This was Coravined from last week so presented as a cloudy pink suspension.

still deep color, but not that attractive. Background bullion note persists even with long time in decanter. Fruit is a bit cloying and sweet. Never gets very interesting

Another well preserved bottle from Dad's cellar. 43 years to enjoy. Similar to last posted review, some nice fruit left, beautiful purple color, drinking like nectar. They don't make them like this any longer. Very enjoyable.
