  • Who knew Tempranillo could make sweet wines of this caliber? The savory and the acidity balance out the intense sweetness, cherries in abundance, baking spice, dried savory things, and smoke, all adding up to something reminiscent of Kansas City style BBQ sauce, but with a gorgeously tannic, black-tea dismount. Just a shockingly elegant dessert wine, like nothing else I’ve ever had, and a real eye opener as to the versatility of this particular grape.
