Pretty much a red fruit-bomb in a big ripe rounded commercial style. Nothing actually wrong with it, if you can forgive how boring it is.
Zero elegance, there’s some acid balance for all that crowd-pleaser sweet red/black fruit, but not much. There are a few floury tannins. There is some length to it’s flavours. It’s only a simple Quaffer, but it’s a well-made one.
Tesco’s back label says, “Deep, complex, well balanced…” Really? Complex? Not for me, nothing near it.
VFM?….at £8.25 it’s good VFMoney as a reliable party Quaffer, no more than that. I’d happily buy it within that context.
