67% Syrah, 16% Aragonez (Tempranillo), 12% Touriga Nacional and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Ages 12 months in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels. Decanted for 1 hour. Very nice nose with scents of coffee, raspberries, kirsch, oak (clearly French) with a spicy (maybe nutmeg and rosemary) finish...very nice and expressive nose. On the palate, it is full bodied, firm tannins, a bit rustic, low astringency with medium aftertaste. Even though this wine is made in new world style, you can still notice its Portuguese roots, which makes it very interesting. It paired very well with boar ribs and potates seasoned with thyme. Totally recommended!!

Excellent portugese red! Didn't take notes or even have time to reflect on the wine in detail when i drank it, all I remember is that it was reallty nicely balanced, with well integrated tannins and quite a complex spicy character. Ready to drink now, but might benefit from a few years further cellaring.

Very good again. Warm, fruity and spicy. This wine is ready to drink now and doesn't need further cellaring.

Surprisingly good on day three. The coffee was dominant, showing another side of it's complexity.
This is a great wine at a ridiculous price.
