  • Llight gold with the attractive nose described for the last bottle. The palate again showed good, sweet, fruit with citrus and tropical flavours. Spicy notes were more forward on nose and palate. Just a little too sweet for most foods.
A very pleasant, easy-drinking wine (a good buy on offer).
The wine was drinking surprisingly well over two more days (stored in the fridge, of course). It seemed to lose some of its sweetness with roast chicken but this returned after the meal.

  • A younger vintage than our last bottle. Attractive light gold colour. Good nose with lemon citrus and tropical fruits. The palate was much sweeter than the anticipated off-dry. Good fruit with lemon citrus, rich mango, sweet melon, and tropical flavours. Good mouthfeel.
It is not a really serious example of quality Chardonnay but is an attractive quaffer and a good party wine or aperitif when the drinker’s attention is largely elsewhere.
An easy-drinking wine (not expensive when on special offer) but not a bargain at the current retail price.
