We have plenty of experience with this value Bordeaux blend. It has always been a go to default choice at Food Lion when nothing else looks interesting. So far this seems to be a premier vintage. 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet and 5% Cab Franc. The Merlot is very upfront andshows a wonderful, enjoyable plum meets blueberry flavor from lips to finish. Maybe a little young, there are gritty tannins that may age out. Secondary bark and evergreen flavors and aromas. Just about medium bodied. Dark red but not opaque color. Maybe some root flavors. Long boysenberry finish. Lots going on for a value wine.
