Nose: cherry, cherry cola, forest floor, Asian spice, cedar, raw white mushroom
Palate: dark cherry, cranberry, baking spice; long finish of cedar, tree bark, light black pepper; dry; low+ very fine tannin; medium+ acidity
Overall thoughts: This wine is so expressive and quite concentrated, but it's wonderfully put together -- it's seamless; nothing seems out of place. A bit more complexity on the nose than palate, but sufficient complexity on the palate. This is an excellent wine that I think still has upside! 95 - 96 points.

I wish that this wine lived up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, we enjoyed the rich Burgundian aromas, the lovely balance, and excellent concentration for a Pinot. But this still lacked the oomph of a wine that lands in the mid-90s or higher, it just didn't blow us away or get to the levels of the best Burgs. I would drink this again for sure, but at nowhere near the price point of where this is trading right now.

Orlando CT & Friends Offline (Fishbones): Funny to see my note from a few years ago because I took a similar approach here and had a bit of it when first served, but saved the wine for the end of the dinner as well. And much as it did then this really evolved into quite a lovely wine. It's got fruit (which to be fair is my preferred style of Pinot) but there's a lovely elegance to it. Darker and a bit restrained with some time. Lovely and quite enjoyable.
PnP and double decant before serving. Initially the nose is quite tight with some odd (plastic) smell. It opened up after 20 min, showing ripe cherry, black currant, flowers and herbs. Very fruity yet smooth. It tasted nothing like Pinot Noir in Burgundy. Bold and long finishing.

Open nose and rich palate with mature red cherry, raspberry, and spice with refreshing acidity on a long finish.
