Decanted for 3 plus hours, ultra clean cork, jammy nose but no depth. Palate is thin, minimal fruit which is predictable perhaps given other comments on this medium. It is drinkable but it is tired and well past its best. I was keen to return to Zinfandel/Primitivo at a realistic price but, unfortunately, this is not a very good start.

This was disappointing - but my fault i think for cellaring it too long. Very flat for a Zin, without too much fruit in evidence. Will learn from this, as I have been impressed with this producer on the past.

The fruit was very even and smooth, but a little subdued from many a big Zin. I actually liked it quite a bit, but others may say it is past its prime or just was never fruit forward enough for the typical Zin palate.

(Frog's Leap Zinfandel) 87% Zinfandel, 10% Petite Sirah, 3% Carignan. This Zin eschews the current big-beast style in favor of an older, leaner expression with bright acid and soft tannins. It has a silky mouthfeel and a flavor blend of pepper, baking spices, cherries, and plums. Winery Spotlight: Frog's Leap
