Slightly more oxidised than the Damoy Chapelle, dried orange peel, red fruit both translate to the palate, lots of structure, tannins are slightly woody and drying. hmm

Christmas Day 2022 (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Dense dark fruits, a little sous bois, slight cranberry underpin, meaty elements. Juicy, slightly chalky tannins, again dark and dense fruit; the impression of this reinforced by those tannins, other than those meaty notes on the nose this is still not showing much tertiary. Lovely.

Coravin fun - Grand Cru Burgundy (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. A little cream, earth, slight rancid meat notes, a touch of red currant; quite gamey, leather, forest floor, slight mushroom, Asian five spice, touch of farmyard. On the palate it's savoury, meaty and powerful with flood as well as the Asian five spice, mushroom and some black fruits. Tannins are present, drying, floury textured but very much in support. Crikey!

From Coravin. Slightly muted but a sense of power, blackberry plum, plenty of sweet and savoury spice, slightly warm smelling as well with touches of umami and truffles. Juicy, fleshy, broad, powerful, black fruits, leather, drying tannins close the palate down but the echo of the flavours persists. Time?
