Too bad I overlooked these in the cellar. May have been even better a few years back. However, this is elegant, delicious, and finished beautifully. slightly bricked but still fine. I am going to drink these up soon before they lose anything further.

Very different than the bottle I had 6 years ago. Full integrated, light, almost delicate. Some sings of bricking, but not a lot. Very smooth, not powerful flavors. Almost like a 30 yo Bordeaux. No need to decant my bottle.

From .375, medium ruby in the glass, very light at rim. Opened 30 minutes before pouring, the palate is firm and integrated with bright notes of sour cherry and a moderately legnthy red plum finish. Drink now and over next 6-12 months for halves; decant for full bottles.

Opened and poured the first night. No detailed notes from Day 1. It was rather shy on the nose, elegant but reserved on the palate. On Day 2, a profound improvement. Delicate red fruit and florals on the nose, which reminds me of a lady who knows how to use perfume. Doesn't bathe in it, just enough to offer a hint. On the palate, medium-light in overall body, but plenty of complexity and intensity, packaged in a velvet glove. Just a hint of resin on the finish to give it length. Delicate, feminine. Not much to detect in terms of earthiness / gaminess. Very elegant. 92+ points given the style, which I wouldn't have every day. I actually enjoy this wine tonight more than that score would indicate.

Still young and vibrant. Paired well with hickory smoked pork rib roast with mushroom and goat cheese risotto.
