Tea, dried fruit, decay, and earth. Palate was very elegant for a cote de beaune with more sweetness than I would expect from a 88. Medium complexity and length with good freshness. Lovely. 92+

The nose was savage, sweet and earthy – not for the faint of heart! The palate showed horsey, super-sweet strawberry fruit with good density that was on the edge of civility. Marred on the finish some by a hint of rot. This must have been challenging for quite some time but as Gilman points out, is now rounding out nicely. Still, this was not for everyone. (DFW)

No formal notes, but I think at under $50 for a Grand Cru with age, I got what I paid for. Not really bad, just nondescript I think.
