  • Probably the oldest Scheurebe I've ever had. Before trying this, I had no idea if these could age.

Lime zest, lychee, ripe mango, jasmine and musk on the nose. High inteisty of aromas, as befits this variety. Slightly frizzante on the palate, driven by lychee, lemon juice and tart, under ripe white peaches and melons. Tastes much younger than its age, and a tad simple too. The nose was much more complex.

Dry with a medium body, medium acid and a medium finish. Surprising how fresh this feels for being 7 years old! I assume it won't be like this much longer, so probably drink now.
