Completely different from last btl. Paler in color with a musty nose. The tannins I noted in the last bottle are absent for the most part. This wine just feels somewhat syrupy and seems to have some sweetness to it. Probably would have been a decent wine to cook with. Oh well.

This is not a good wine. The palate is extremely dull and it basically tastes and smells like nothing. It's not that the eine wine is flawed, it's just that it is really no fun at all to drink this wine.
the rest will go down the toilet.

Subtle, yet pleasing, aromas of violets & cedar. Fairly light in color for a Cab. The body is similarly light for a Cab. The flavors begin with currants and finish with black cherries all the while intermingled with some tobacco notes. Went fairly well with some Tri Tip. The finish is marked by gritty, even a bit chalky, tannins which are a bit offputting.
At 86 pts., this is the best bottle from an otherwise distrastrous mixed case that I purchased from wine.woot in Dec. On Sunce's website they list this as a "New Release! Release date: 05/23/08." Um, that was three years ago. They only made 419 cases. Maybe they should lower the $44 they are charging for it on their website. Luckily, I paid less than $11.

Basically a dead wine. No life in it. Done with Sunce unfortunately.
