Somewhat stubborn, this wine is finally softening a bit. Not very inspiring old Pinot nose, some old roses and creosote. In the mouth, a nice dollop of sweetness (2005 was a good, ripe vintage) makes an otherwise austere wine much friendlier. No need to hurry, will mellow down a bit more with some cellar time.

Decanted 90 minutes. Really have to swill hard to coax anything out of the nose. I get some strawberry, a little spice, and a little cut grass. The palate definitely had a sour theme to it - more like cranberry. Finish was BO-RING. I have to say that again I am underwhelmed with another burgundy in the $35 range. If tasted blind, I would have never guessed burgundy. There are so many options for pinot under $20 that best what you get here. I'm pretty much done buying value burgundy...No mas...

Decent colour. Nose closed, taste similar. Strong, one-dimensional finish. Has however lost its initial hard edges. Still an ugly duckling. Will it ever become a swan (or even just a nice duck)?

TankR wine. Solid deep red. Some berry nose. Palate - stewed sweet berry fruit. Nice tannin structure supporting.
Needs some rich food to shine.
