Sommelier's Monthly Meeting - Nov 2004 (The Bistro): What a way to end the night. This has to be one of the finest examples of Hermitage that I've ever tasted. In the glass the core of this wine was opaque but revealed a dark ruby rim. The nose expressed an intensely rich bouquet of black berry fruit, black pepper and light oak. On the palate it boasts ripe fruit flavours of raspberries, plums, blackberries and dried spice that is well supported by a complex tannic structure. Excellent length. WOTN.

Donkerrood, dunne oranje rand, tranend. Wat vlakke neus met zwavel, rood en zwart fruit, vlees. Stevige frisse zuren, donker fruit. Wat drogende tannines, korte afdronk.

Was ready to drink - but could have waited a few more years! Softened and extremely pleasant.
