Dark color, last part quite unclear. Nose open with surbois, strawberry and wild red berries. Long aftertaste, but somehow unclear middle. Is 2005 ready or still to wait for.

Dinner with the wine group (Blue Plate, SF): Medium intensity aromatic nose, red fruit, slight spice; palate is light bodied, elegant red fruit, good concentration, perfectly balanced; finish is medium-long. A very classic, elegant Chambolle with good balance. Still seems young but drinking well now too. 92

Drank with Blanco. Bright crimson color, no signs of age in the glass. Nose of sweet cherries. On the palate, lots of tart cherries, and a bit on the thin side. The wine seemed a bit tight, even after some time in the glass, and it retained a very tart, sour cherry character. It appears to me that this wine needs more time as there's still plenty of fruit and tannins here, and should be decanted when opened next.

Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Chambolle Musigny (Rodwell House): Mid ruby red. Hauntingly penetrating aromas. Rosewater, aniseed, plum, strawberry and more… Subtlety powerful, this fleshy wine showed great depth of flavour, is silkily textured and completed with ripe fruit: white pepper, mocha, spice, raspberry, cranberry, black cherry. Complex, layered, supple tannins, very long length, this wine opened up beautifully in the glass. Top year. Very enticing!
