Decanted 3 hours, dark fruit, spices, earthy, multiple layers of aromas and flavors on the palate too, powerful but fresh, classy and with depth and an amazing texture on the palate, quite an impressive length too.

  • Quite elegant and subtle wine but yet fails to deliver at the level of the pedigree and price. Not sure if we had this too young but definitely was not singing . To be frank this is is a bit disappointed like seeing your top performing child get a B in maths feeling rather than a poor wine but still wanted so much more. 92

  • A lot softer and evolved than we expected given its a Bonnes Mares and frankly its in a great time in its life now . Round and soft, silky , soft secondary feel and has an elegance worthy of its grand cru status. Really an impressive wine and a solid 93. Still a lot of life here too

  • 2010 Lafarge Beaune-Grèves vs 2006 B Clair Bonnes Mares:
    - Farbe: Kaum ein Unterschied zu erkennen. Beide blutrot, mittel-konzentriert.
    - Lafarge mit typischer PN-Nase (Kirsche?). Clair weniger intensive Nase, weniger Frucht.
    - Lafarge ist ein toller Wein. Wenig Tannine. Holz balanciert toll die Säure aus. Spannende Frucht. Interessant!
