Consistent notes compared to yesterday. Good but pricey. Dark red fruit, meat, leather, earth. Considering Astralis is half the price, this is a hard sell. Still a nice wine. Very modern. Like Grange a California cab drinkers Aussie Shiraz.

Compared head to head with 04 Astralis. See yesterday's note for tasting details. This was more red fruit on both the nose and palate, aromatically unique i.e. Absolutely gorgeous nose! Pricey! Delighted that I had an opportunity to taste it.

Dark red. Very aromatic nose of dark fruit, violets, baking spice, and subtle herbs. Decanted, drank with dinner and afterwards. Tart currant, red raspberry, deep flavors and oak with moderate finishing tannins. Lots of life left. This did get even better after several hours.

Bright red/blue fruit, jam packed w/o being jammy. Medium tannin, low acid. Touch meaty w/blackberry. Plum/fig? Showstopper. Mint/menthol?
