  • This is a gorgeous dessert wine showing full maturity with great flavors of caramel and exotic spices. Quite glycerol in texture and just when it feels like it might get cloying, a blast of acidity and saturated intensity lifts the wine to excellent heights. Alluring and sexy juice!

  • Tasted blind (and nailed it). This had everything you wish for in a Kracher: the aromatic intensity, the high precision, the typical intriguing quince aromas, the good sweetness/acidity balance. I overall prefer the lightness and aromatic profile of great Sauternes with more saffron notes, but this is definitely great and lovers of this aroma profile will rate it higher than 94 pts.

TN: Very intense on the nose and palate with load of quince, apricots, lime, herbs and minerality. Very dense but still with a piercing acidity cutting through all that sweetness. Precise, round, long and complete.

Decanting: No decanting needed. Good from the go.

  • Tasted blind. Orange zest, some saffron, honey and bee wax, fruit of quince and dried apricot. This was not overly intense and admittedly didn’t have the complexity of for example a great Sauternes. But the palate was dense and not too viscous and sufficiently fresh which provided for a palatable mouthfeel.

  • A pure nectar of dried apricot and honey with energetic acidity. Very nice showing and needless to say has years of goodness to give.

  • Drinking wonderfully at the moment. So good. Plenty of acid, nose and mouthfeel of honey. Excellent stuff and can go longer.
